My new mission 

General Secretary Xi Jinping first introduced the important thought of a "China-Africa community with a shared future" in March 2013. Later at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in 2019, he urged to "build a closer China-Africa community with a shared future and set an example to promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind". China attaches great importance to China-Africa relations, making the China-Africa community with a shared future with deeper and optimistic connotations. At the new developmental stage, China-Africa cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has offered more opportunities for realizing the "Chinese Dream" and "African Dream" of national rejuvenation.

Both China and Africa have entered the best period of development in history, the building of China-Africa community with a shared future requires our continuous efforts from generation to generation. Participating fully at my modest level in the construction of a "China-Africa community with a shared future" is a responsibility to assume and an essential choice in my life, but I am more enthusiastic about my new mission. That is, as a young fighter of the new era, I have the obligation and the responsibility to “build a bridge” to promote mutual learning between Chinese and African civilizations. I will make my own contribution for advancing the implementation of the BRI and fostering the development of China-Africa exchanges and mutual learning. I strongly believe that China and Africa will continue to join hand on the path of independent innovation to promote the development in science and technology, economic, social progress, people's livelihood, national security and international progress. With joint efforts, we will surely create a more magnificent blueprint for the sustainable development in both China and Africa.

About the author:

Gohi Bi Foua Claude Alain, an Ivoirian scholar, came to China to study the Chinese language in 2010. After obtaining his PH Degree in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology in 2018 at Xiangtan University, Hunan Province, Alain became a visiting scholar at Temple University, US. He has been teaching English, French and Chemical Engineering at Panzhihua University, Sichuan Province since 2018.

Alain has received great outcomes in scientific research projects. His project relating to high-quality construction of industrial transfer was listed as one of the major projects sponsored by Panzhihua Social Science Fund 2020. As a copy editor of International Journal of Materials Science and Applications (IJMSA), Alain has published more than 20 research papers on international journals including Polymers，Bioingineering，Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology，American Scientific Publishers, ect.

He is rewarded with Chinese government scholarship for 6 consecutive years, and named "Distinguished Overseas Student in Hunan". Alain is also keen on charity and has been offering monthly support to UNICEF program in funding the delivery of essential services and care for children in need.
