Academic exchange in Cote d‘Ivoire (3)
On Nov 19, 2023, the CAI delegation visited several Chinese enterprises in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, and learned about how they expanded the local market.
The Chinese enterprises include Chengxin Industrial, a manufacturer of plastic woven bags and PVC tubes; SSEC, a stone supplier and manufacturer; WT YU YUAN SARL, a manufacturer of timber and plates; the real estate company SACSI Group; and China Mall, the biggest wholesale market for small consumer goods in Cote d'Ivoire. After years of arduous work, those Chinese enterprises have settled in Cote d'Ivoire and continues to grow.
The Chinese enterprises which are mostly family businesses, have expanded its own businesses, while providing a large number of jobs to local people. They see a promising market in Cote d'Ivoire with its political stability, fast economic growth and efficient governance. They said, young Chinese entrepreneurs should seize the opportunity and come to visit Cote d'Ivoire to investigate the business environment and look for investment projects.
