Africa Studies Center of China Foreign Affairs University

Introduction
The Africa Studies Center of China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU), which was founded in December 2009, is a non-profit mass academic organization affiliated with CFAU. In 2017, it was approved as a Regional and Country-Specific Studies Center Registered with the Ministry of Education. The first director of the center was Professor Tang Xiao (2009-2016), and the second director was Professor Li Dan (2016-2019). Both professors successively served as members of the Steering Committee of the China-Africa Joint Research and Exchange Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The center is non-physical and its members come from various departments and research centers of CFAU, including the Department of Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs Management, the Department of English & International Studies, the Department of foreign Languages, the Department of International Law, the Department of International Economics, and the Institute of Asian Studies, featuring diverse background.
The mission of the center is to actively conduct academic research and exchanges on political, economic and cultural relations between China and African countries, promote teaching and research of CFAU related to Africa, and serve the government's scientific decision-making.
