On November 25, 2021, The 10th China Lecture “The Great Achievements and Historical Experience of the Communist Party of China in a Century of Struggle" hosted by the China-Africa Institute was successfully held in Beijing online and offline. Researcher Xin Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Dean of the Academy of Marxism, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Researcher Lin Jianhua, Deputy Dean of the Academy of Marxism, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences delivered a speech. Professor Li Xinfeng, Executive President of the China-Africa Institute presided over the lecture. Zhou Yunfan, Wang Lincong, and Wang Xiaoming, vice-presidents of the China-Africa  Institute attended the lecture. More than 90 people from 21 African countries and organizations including Mali, Mauritania, Namibia, Zimbabwe ambassador to China and African Union representative to China, and scholars from China and Africa attended the lecture. Xin Xiangyang

Xin Xiangyang's speech revolved around one of the ten historical experiences of the Communist Party of China in its century of struggle summarized by the resolutions of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, "Insist on the people's supremacy". He said that "adhering to the people's supremacy" is a very important experience of the Chinese Communist Party for a century of struggle. The reason why the Chinese Communist Party has achieved great achievements in the governance is that the Chinese Communist Party has always emphasized on “people's supremacy”. He introduced that the "Resolution" pointed out that "The foundation of the party lies in the people, the blood lies in the people, and the strength lies in the people. The people's support is the greatest politics, and justice is the strongest force. The advantage is to keep close contact with the masses, and the biggest danger for the party is in power is to divorce from the masses.” In the text of the "Resolution", a number of the greatest, the most emboldened, the greatest politics, the strongest strength, the greatest political advantage, and the greatest danger are used. This fully illustrates the important position of "people first" in the Chinese Communist Party's experience in governance.

Xin Xiangyang pointed out that the Communist Party of China emphasizes that "the people are supreme" and there are many ways to turn the concept of "people first" into reality. Grasping the main social contradictions and meeting the people's growing need for a better life is a very important point for implementing "people first." Therefore, General Secretary Xi Jinping has always emphasized that the people's yearning for a better life is our goal. We promote economic and social development, in the final analysis, to continuously meet the people's needs for a better life. The people's needs for a better life continue to expand. The needs for a better life include not only higher material and cultural requirements, but also requirements such as democracy and the rule of law, fairness and justice, and a safe environment, as well as many non-material cultural requirements. Xin Xiangyang also said that the "Resolution" emphasizes that the Communist Party of China represents the fundamental interests of the vast majority of the people in China. It does not have any special interests of its own. It has never represented the interests of any interest group, any powerful group, or any privileged class.

Lin Jianhua

Lin Jianhua gave a speech on what the Chinese Communist Party is and what it wants to do. He said that the "Resolution" adopted by the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China put forward a major proposition that the whole party must bear in mind the fundamental question of what the Communist Party of China is and what it is going to do. This is a fundamental question that the Communist Party of China must answer from the day it was founded. The key to the fact that the Chinese Communist Party can grow from small to large, from weak to strong, and from victory to victory, is that the Chinese Communist Party correctly answered the fundamental question of what the Chinese Communist Party is and what it wants to do.

The Communist Party of China is the core force leading our cause. Since the founding of the Communist Party of China, it has always adhered to communist ideals and socialist beliefs.

Li Xinfeng

Li Xinfeng said in the beginning of the lecture that as the most important outcome of this plenary session, the Resolution of the CPC Central Committee on Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the CPC Over the Past Century is a historical and strategic decision making of the whole Party, demonstrating the CPC’s high political consciousness of attaching importance to respecting and using historical laws, as well as the CPC’s responsibility and confidence of remaining true to its original aspiration and keeping its mission firmly in mind. This resolution, which is the third of its kind in the CPC’s history, is of great and far-reaching significance to unveil a new journey of building a modern socialist country in all respects by uniting all Chinese people under the leadership the CPC Central Committee.

Winfred N.O.Hammond

Ghana's ambassador to China, H.E. Winfred Nohammond, Namibia's ambassador to China,H.E. Elia George Kaiyamo and Zimbabwe's ambassador to China, H.S. Martin Chedondo commented successively. They congratulated the Chinese Communist Party for its great achievements in the past century. They stated that the Communist Party of China was established a hundred years ago to save the working class, eliminate exploitation, and realize the unification of China. Today, the Communist Party of China still pursues the development concept of "people first", develops people's democracy in the whole process, and realizes all-round development of people and common prosperity.

Elia George Kaiyamo

The three ambassadors agreed that China's economy has undergone earth-shaking changes and development, and the people have gained tangible benefits in economic development. Without socialism with Chinese characteristics, such an achievement would be impossible to achieve. Through hard work, the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people have demonstrated that reform is an important way for China to achieve today’s achievements, and that socialism with Chinese characteristics is the right path to achieve development and prosperity. China has responded effectively to the challenges of the times. For this reason, the People's Republic of China is still a very important leading force.

Martin Chedondo

The ambassadors believed that China-Africa relations has developed steadily, and China-Africa economic and trade cooperation had grown in scale, which has brought tangible benefits to the African people. They were very grateful for the series of major assistance China has provided to African countries and people and hoped that the Communist Party of China will continue to lead the Chinese people to achieve greater achievements and that China-Africa friendly relations will reach a new level.
