West Asia and Africa is a bimonthly comprehensive academic journal published by the Institute of West Asian and African Studies (IWAAS) of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Since its first publication in 1980, the journal is devoting to the theoretical, strategic, comprehensive and practical ideas and standards, offering deeper surveys on West Asian and African politics, economies, international relations, histories, religions, cultures, and societies. Updated research articles on international and regional’s current hot issues, and academic frontier relating to these regions are welcome as well.

The journal is the only leading academic platform specialized for publications of China’s West Asian and African studies. The journal publishes in Chinese with English abstract.
