Yu Guoqing, Senior researcher at the Institute of West Asian and African Studies(IWAAS), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(CASS), professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and executive director of the Chinese Middle East Society.
Major Fields of Study
Mainly engaged in researches on international issues in the Middle East, with main research directions including Middle East international politics and relations, major powers' strategies towards the Middle East, and research on the Israeli issue.
Main research career
From September 1998 to September 1999, he was a visiting scholar at the Department of Near East Studies at Princeton University in the United States.
From October 2001 to November 2003, worked in the Research Office of the Political Department of the Chinese Embassy in Israel.
Visiting scholar at Leiden University in the Netherlands from May 2009 to November 2009.
