【Personal profile】

Liu Xuejie, Ph.D in Political Science, is an assistant research fellow at the Division of Political Studies in the Institute of West-Asian and African Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She  joined the Institute of West-Asian and African Studies in 2023. Mainly engaged in research on the Middle East politics and the Middle East Islamic issues, focusing on Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Arab countries. During her undergraduate period, she went to the University of Jordan for exchange studies. During her doctoral period, she published several papers, including “A Study on the Thoughts of the Hizb ut-Tahrir Founder An-Nabhani” (second author), which was reprinted in full by Renmin University Reprinted Newspaper Materials Religion; participated in the preparation of The Belt and Road Country Studies (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), a major special project of the National Social Science Fund of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences; participated in the 2016 National Social Science Fund major project “Global Islamic Extremism” and other topics.
