There is a beacon of hope for the world and Africa in particular under the auspices of the leadership of the CPC, led by General Secretary of the CPC and president of the People’s Republic of China His Excellency Xi Jinping, whose address on the 20th national congress gives hope, for a brighter future for the world. There is a trajectory of sustainable pathway which depicts democratic credentials that hinges on equity and justice for all mankind.

For years, China has cultivated a secured relationship with Africa based on mutual respect, excellent fiscal interventions by handing out low interest loans, all in the name of having a win -win situation. This has helped Africa and Africans to work towards achieving peace and stability in our respective countries.

According to a 2020 study by the Washington, Dc -based Heritage foundation think tank, reported that at least 186 government buildings in Africa had been built or partially financed by China, that speaks volume of how China has helped significantly to improve on the infrastructure of Africa.

This is also part of the FOCAC initiative to working together to build a shared vision for all mankind, visa viz on Global development, Global security. least to say is the global threat of the world that is poverty. In recent times we have seen how China’s approach in eliminating extreme poverty through sustained economic growth, combined with pro-poor growth pattern to create more new opportunities, improvement in access to social services and social safety nets made to improve the capabilities and functions of all the people including the poor, development-oriented poverty reduction interventions employed to increase the capacities of the disadvantages in taking use of the increased opportunities and to reduce poverty directly, all these are shared knowledge to help reduce if not eliminating poverty by 2030.

It is a wake-up call for all, to match our words with actions as being demonstrated by China, in adopting the Belt and Road Initiative, which seeks to have a better world by promoting connectivity , establishing and strengthen partnerships among the counties along the Belt and Road , set up all -dimensional , multi tiered and composite connectivity networks , and realize diversified , independent , balanced and sustainable development in these countries .

For the rest of Africa that shy away from joining the Belt and Road we can learn from the building of the six economic corridors and the benefit they have accrued over the years.

New Eurasian Land Bridge

China -Mongolia -Russia economic corridor

China -Central Asia -West Asia economic corridor

China -Indochina Peninsular economic corridor

Bangladesh -China -India -Myanmar economic corridor

It is my conviction that our African leaders should team up with China to aggressively fight for a safer environment, people centered governance through aligning themselves with China’s trajectory for the good of mankind.  The facts cannot be discarded the people-to-people exchange are calling for our government to work with China, support China to address the ills of the world. As a young African I call on the African Union, respective blocks in west Africa, east Africa, south Africa to align themselves openly with China to combat poverty, wars and create a world of peace and harmony.

The question that begs my imagination is ‘Is Africa a lion on the Move ? if truly we are a lion on the move our leaders must set the pace and work for the good of Africa , as a true Africa I have faith in Chinese Socialist ideology , we have worked with different forms of government  and up to date we haven’t succeeded in changing the lives of our ordinary citizens , the question next is how long can we move on with a system that is not working for its people , wake up Africa  and follow the trajectory of hope , that will redeem  its people from the shackles of poverty to a disciplined and sustained growth for all.
