Study on the business model of china-africa economic and trade cooperation zone

Africa is a natural partner of China's " the Belt and Road " initiative. China and Africa jointly build "B&R" to promote all-round development of Sino-African relations. At the Beijing Summit of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum in September 2018, China and 53 African countries adopted the Beijing Declaration on Building a Closer Community of Destiny in Central Africa by consensus, proposing to build and upgrade a number of economic and trade cooperation zones in Africa and promote Chinese enterprises to expand their investment in Africa. Despite the common vision of China and Africa, we need to systematically discuss the economic contribution, strategic significance and theoretical enlightenment of the innovation and construction of the Zone in the context of the increasingly severe international public opinion environment and the increasingly prominent pressure on the transformation of China-Africa economic and trade relations. To this end, scholars from Zambia and Rwanda from Eastern African countries will be invited to participate in this research project, closely around the theme and content of the Beijing Summit, pointing out the theoretical significance and practical value of further innovative development of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone; combing the history and achievements of the Cooperation Zone; summing up the practical cases of the Zone, analyzing the bottleneck of the existing mode of development; studying the transformation and upgrading of the construction of the Cooperation Zone, and solve the difficult and painful problems between China and Africa. The Chinese research team will go to Zambia and Rwanda to conduct research, and hold several seminars at home and research sites. Eventually, members of the Chinese and foreign research groups will gather the results, submit research reports, publish books, and hold large-scale international seminars in Beijing, inviting Chinese and African government officials, experts and scholars, heads of economic and trade departments, relevant associations and enterprises to participate in the conference.
