IWAAS Researchers Visited Sierra Leone for Research Studies
From November 23 to December 1, 2018, Professor Zhu Weidong and Associate Professor Wang Qiong from the Institute of West-Asian and African Studies (IWAAS) went to Sierra Leone to research legal problems faced by Chinese enterprises in Sierre Leone. With the assistance of Associate Professor Zhan Shiming from IWAAS, who had been doing researches in Sierra Leone, researchers visited and investigated the Confucius Institute in the University of Sierra Leone, CRIG, China Star Corp., the Chinese medical team, a military surgeon group and some Chinese enterprises. The researchers also attended a seminar on China-Sierra Leone cooperation hosted by Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone. They made discussions with other participants on legal risks of doing business in Sierra Leone, and presented relevant suggestions.
